adult education opportunities

Current Course Offerings for Fall 2018

All Are Welcome!  Some courses have small cost for materials.  These classes are perfect for persons new to exploring their spirituality or longtime Christians.




A book study led by Pastor Cathie and Doug Mason.  This is a book that the Council of Bishops and the Commission on the Way Forward have delved deeply into as a tool for navigating conflict and working on having a heart for peace and love for one another.  

This is an 7-week class starting  October 2 and ending the week before Thanksgiving.   It meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 pm to 9 pm and Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am to 12 pm in the Education Building.

Disciple iv

32 Week Bible study class. Covers the Old Testament "Writings," but not the Torah or the Prophets plus the New Testament Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation. 

Taught by Cathy Boragno and Mickey Chase. Meets Tuesday, 9:30 am - 11:30 am in the Education Building, Room B. Cost is $45 for student manual. Signup on the patio after Sunday Worship Service or call the church office at 949.786.8354

Best music appreciation class ever!

The history of church music taught by UUMC's music director, John Carpenter. 

A 5-6 week class. Start date: TBA. Time: Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm in the Education Building Room A. 


Our workshops are every other Saturday. Newcomers & beginners are welcome. Contact the office at 949.786.8354 for more information. 

Our quilters create prayer quilts for those receiving medical treatments and baby quilts for newborns.

Lunch Bunch:  Book study and bring your own lunch group on Tuesdays at 11:45 am in Education Building Room B. Starting in September they will be reading The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg. 

Sister's BooK Group

Sisters is a women's book group!  They meet on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:30 pm at members' homes for discussion and dessert.

First-timers and occasional readers are welcome.
