Each day we’ll meet a new member of our Garden Group who will share their special gift and invite us into a new Bible lesson and skill.
Students will get to explore the stories of a variety of Bible characters through the eyes of our gardeners in order to understand that these amazing characters in the Bible are just like us! Throughout the week, gardeners will be encouraged to wonder, shout, share, build community, and speak up for others. Daily themes will be explored through storytelling, structured play, crafts, and music.

WHY VBS?
Vacation Bible School is a safe and memorable part of summer! Kids will have a blast every day, making new friends and memories. They’ll learn to celebrate their individuality and to use their voice for positive change. VBS is an absolute blast and we are going to have so much fun together this summer in Irvine!

What's vbs?
It’s Vacation Bible School! VBS is like a summer day camp for kids. Its 4 days of singing, dancing, playing games, hearing stories, doing STEM experiments, making art projects, & more. Students are led through different activities & provided a snack every day.
Who can sign up?
Any child who will be ages 3-12 years old before the first day of VBS is welcome to join. Preschool students must be fully potty-trained.
What if my child has food allergies?
Snack is provided daily and we take your child’s safety very seriously. Please list any allergies or dietary needs on your registration form. If your child has a very serious allergy, prior to VBS please email our Children’s Ministry Coordinator at amber@uumcirvine.com to discuss your child’s needs and accomodations.
Do we need to attend uumc to sign up?
No. Children of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcome!
Are staff background checked?
Yes. Your child’s safety is extremely important to us. All staff are background checked, and all volunteers are required to complete a MinistrySafe training.

It takes a village to make VBS happen and we would love your support! Email amber@uumcirvine.org to learn more about volunteering.
Is financial assistance available?
We know finances are tight for many families right now, and we don’t want finances to get in the way of kids coming to VBS! The cost of camp can be challenging for many families, especially with multiple kids.
