If you’ve never been to a traditional United Methodist or Christian church service before,
here is what you can expect:
Scripture Readings
Passages from both the Old and New Testaments are read to provide spiritual guidance and reflection.
Preaching
Sermons are delivered by our pastoral team or guest speakers, offering interpretations of the scripture and insights into living a faith-based life.
Music
Congregational singing of hymns and spiritual songs, typically accompanied by our choir (English service only) and musical instruments.
Holy Communion
Also known as The Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, we take communion on the first Sunday of every month. We believe that Christ is spiritually present in the Holy Communion. It is a time for reflection, repentance, and renewal of faith. Our services are inclusive, so we welcome everyone to participate in Holy Communion, regardless of membership, age, or background.
We use grape juice instead of wine so that everyone can be included.
We proudly offer Sunday services in 3 different languages,
each with its own unique components.
English Service
This service features our phenomenal choir and the inclusion of children’s time. In between worship and the sermon, children are invited forward to hear a brief story and a hands-on lesson. Afterwards, they’re dismissed from the sanctuary to KidJAM, where they remain for the rest of the service.
Korean Service
Led by our Associate Pastor Josh Ryoo, this service also incorporates cultural elements, such as traditional greetings and customs, creating a unique worship experience that honors both faith and heritage. The congregation always gathers for a meal together after this service.
Japanese Service
Our Nozomi Japanese service occurs in person on the 4th Sunday of every month, with virtual services on all other Sundays. To get connected, contact the lay leader, George Kawamura at geokawamura@gmail.com
