Chancel Choir

Under the dynamic leadership of our Music Director, John Carpenter, the Chancel Choir brings our 9:30 morning service to life with soul-stirring music all year round. Our choir is a vibrant mix of voices, from enthusiastic high school students to spirited 80-year-olds, performing a stunning variety of choral masterpieces. From beautiful hymn arrangements and classical anthems to uplifting spirituals, each piece they sing carries powerful messages and melodies that touch the heart.

 

Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 7:30 – 9:30pm in the Sanctuary

ReJoySing

ReJoySing - Harmonies of Joy and Faith

Founded in 2002 at University United Methodist Church (UUMC) in Irvine, ReJoySing started as a four-part harmony group and has since blossomed into a vibrant ensemble of six passionate singers from UUMC’s Chancel Choir. We perform a diverse mix of Christian and secular music, showcasing beautiful vocal harmonies from a variety of composers and arrangers. Our repertoire spans genres like jazz, traditional, gospel, and spiritual music.

No. When you visit, you’ll feel right at home. No pressure to stand out or wear any special buttons.  It’s all about warmth, connection, and making you feel welcome.

Children are always welcome to worship with their families at our services. However, we’ve made special arrangements for those with shorter attention spans:

Professional childcare providers are available for infants aged 0-2 years old.

 

Preschool through 6th-grade children are invited to participate in Kid Jam, an interactive service held in the Education Building just for them!

For youth in grades 6-12, CONNECT provides a place to grow and belong. They meet every Sunday at 9:30 am in the Youth Room for a lesson, activities, and sometimes even a party!
