Traditional Service Description
Readings from the Bible: Passages from both the Old and New Testaments are read to provide spiritual guidance and reflection.
Preaching: Sermons are delivered by the pastor or guest speakers, offering interpretations of the scriptures and insights into living a faith-based life.
Singing: Congregational singing of hymns and spiritual songs is a key component, often accompanied by a choir and musical instruments.
Holy Communion: Also known as The Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, this sacrament is celebrated monthly, on the first Sunday. United Methodists believe that Christ is spiritually present and hosts the Holy Communion. It is a time for reflection, repentance, and renewal of faith. We use grape juice instead of wine so that we can include everyone in this means of God’s grace!
United Methodist services are inclusive, welcoming everyone to participate in Holy Communion, regardless of membership or background.
