How to Join

How to Become a Member

Welcome!

We are thrilled that you are considering joining our community at University United Methodist Church. Becoming a member is a journey of faith, fellowship, and service, and we are here to support you every step of the way. Here’s how you can embark on this inspiring path and take advantage of our warm welcome:

Friendly Atmosphere: From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted with warmth and kindness.

Supportive Community: We are a family that supports one another through prayer, fellowship, and service.

Opportunities to Connect: Join small groups, Bible studies, and social events to build lasting relationships.

Engaging Worship: Experience uplifting worship services that inspire and strengthen your faith.

Service Opportunities: Get involved in various ministries and outreach programs to make a positive impact in our community.

Steps to Membership

Baptism: If you haven’t been baptized speak with the Pastor for information and preparation. Baptism is a one-time event, so if you’ve already been baptized in a Christian church, you don’t need to do it again.

Profession of Faith: Declare your faith in Jesus Christ. If you’re transferring from another United Methodist church or a denomination that allows transfers, we can handle the transfer. If not, you can still join by professing your faith during worship.

Active Participation: As a member, you’ll be encouraged to participate in church activities through prayer, attendance, donations, service, and sharing your faith. There are many ways to get involved, such as singing in the choir, greeting visitors, or volunteering.

Together, we can grow in faith, support one another, and make a positive impact in our community. Join us today and experience the warmth and love of our church community.
