Young Adult / Campus Bible Study meets Wednesday nights at 7pm in the Williams fellowship hall, young adults and college students meet for a worship service that incorporates both bible study and worship. For more information on the group click here. Women's Bible Study meets Thursdays from 9:30 am - 11:00 am, September through June in Room D of the Education Building. Second Touch - Men's Bible Study meets on Sunday mornings at 7:30 am to study the Word of God. A dozen or so men get together each Sunday morning to discuss scripture, to grow in faith and better deal with day-to-day life. These men mine for gold in the Bible to enrich their lives. Sometimes they have to dig deep and it is painful. Sometimes the nuggets just roll off the pages. Sometimes they find gold in their brother's pockets. "We all find it because we want to help dig. We know our brother's strikes are important, not only for their enrichment, but ours as well." DISCIPLE Bible Study
Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study is an approach to Bible study that emphasizes disciplined reading of and listening to Scripture. It results in biblically nourished persons committed to live as disciples. During the course of 34 weeks, DISCIPLE groups move through the Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation. All DISCIPLE Bible study participants will read more than 70 percent of the Bible. The Scripture for each session follows the chronological movement of the biblical story. DISCIPLE groups consist of twelve members and a leader and meet weekly for 2 1/2 hours for a period of 34 weeks. Each participant makes a commitment to daily preparation and weekly attendance at and full participation in the group study sessions. DISCIPLE calls on persons to submit themselves to examination by Scripture, to put themselves under the power of God’s word, and to be changed by God’s word. CHRISTIAN BELIEVER Bible Study Have you ever wondered what the Christian Church teaches about a Christian term you have heard, think you understand, but wanted to know more? The CHRISTIAN BELIEVER class responds to all adults who have ever asked the questions, What does the church teach? What does it mean to be a Christian? The class consists of thirty weeks of 2 1/2 hour weekly group sessions. Each week a new topic is introduced along with Scripture passages from the Old and New Testaments, a video presentation and a commentary. Please join us in discussing the same topics that emerged in early Christianity as it struggled to understand its Scripture and its experience of Jesus, and that have remained central to church teaching through the centuries. These basic Christian beliefs distinguish Christians from other people and Christianity from other faiths. |
