July 8 is Summer Kickoff Sunday, a day to meet our new pastor, Rev. Cathie Capp.
What does that mean? There will be some serious barbecue served after the morning worship service. You don’t need to bring anything or go anywhere else. This is the place for lunch!
Specifically, it means the following for those attending church.
Special Kickoff Worship Service at 9:30 am.
The choir, under the direction of standout John Carpenter, will present special music.
A barbecue lunch, following the Worship Service, in the Fellowship Hall that will include a generous sampling of all your BBQ favorites. The feast includes everything you could ask for, tender dry rubbed Texas style chicken, warm slices of freshly smoked beef brisket, and baby back ribs. All paired with famous BBQ sauces from the Oak and Honey BBQ Catering Company. The meal also includes chipotle baked beans, mac and cheese, creamy coleslaw, roasted corn salad, a green salad, rolls, a light dessert and soft drinks.
All we ask is a small donation (any amount would be appreciated) from you to cover some of the cost of the food. There will be baskets on each table for your donations.
If you haven't already signed up, call the church office at 949.786.8354 or email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get an estimate of how many will be joining us. COME JOIN IN ON THE FUN!
